There appears to be some amount of misunderstanding in terms of PPI refunds and payment protection insurance compensation. When you ask for Halifax PPI claims it is altogether different, from a legal perspective, than compensation. A refund is money due back to you because the lender mis sold Halifax PPI by violating rules and regulations surrounding the sale of insurance cover. In other words, you are asking for your own money back. Compensation awards a monetary value for any suffering or duress that was caused by mis sold PPI. You are getting compensated for suffering which is totally different than being given back that which is rightfully yours.
